Large-scale events often face the same challenge: how to create genuine connection among tens of thousands of attendees. Workday Rising 2025 set out to address this head-on by reimagining pre-event engagement as a meaningful journey of identity, connection, and shared experience.
To achieve this, Workday partnered with Storycraft Lab and InGo, bringing together experience design, behavioural insight, and scalable social advocacy to form a truly category-defining event partnership.
At the centre of the initiative was Rising Signs, a customised Experience Profiles™ quiz developed by Storycraft Lab and aligned with Workday’s “Future Ready” event theme. The quiz invited attendees to discover how they lead, collaborate, and spark ideas, categorising participants into profiles such as Connector, Innovator, and the highly sought-after Unicorn. This was not data collection for its own sake. It delivered immediate personal value, helping attendees better understand themselves and how they fit within the wider Workday community.
InGo then converted these individual insights into a scalable advocacy and growth engine. Using InGo’s advanced social referral and advocacy platform, personalised quiz results were automatically transformed into beautifully branded, one-click shareable moments across social platforms. This eliminated friction entirely - no manual downloads, no copy-and-paste, no generic messaging - enabling attendees to authentically express their identity and invite their networks into the Workday Rising experience.
InGo made this identity-driven advocacy scalable, measurable, and repeatable at enterprise scale - something that would be practically impossible to execute manually across an event of this size.
The results were exceptional. Over 11,800 attendees completed the quiz - almost half of all eligible participants. 74% completed it pre-event, generating significant anticipation and buzz before the doors opened. Once started, completion rates reached 90% demonstrating strong emotional investment. That engagement translated directly into advocacy: 20% of participants shared their results socially, generating 2,117 social shares and 12,303 clicks to the event site.
This single activation drove 85% of all InGo-powered social sharing for Workday Rising 2025 and delivered 8X more pre-event social buzz than the average event.
Beyond the metrics, the partnership reshaped the event experience itself. Rising Signs became a shared language across the event, integrated into badges, signage, meetups, and digital networking tools. Attendees described it as “the favourite part of my day” and “the moment I found my people.”
The impact was so strong that what began as a North America activation was rapidly rolled out to Workday’s EMEA , demonstrating the scalability and cross-regional relevance of the partnership.
The lasting legacy is clear. Workday is now building on this foundation with deeper personalisation, enhanced attribution, and profile-driven experiences across future events. Together, Storycraft Lab and InGo proved that when experience design and scalable social advocacy work in harmony, events can move beyond transactions to create genuine belonging - and measurable business growth.
